PRESS RELEASE (So VERY, very Rough Draft)
(Ha, read the directions after I wrote this, so this is different than what I believe was expected. I found it confusing that it is called a Press Release (press releases tend to be short and contain a few key points, more like an announcement –look at me, I am having an opinion), when the directions seem to set the scenario of being interviewed as if in a talk show—not the first time I have been confused in this course.)
Thank you so much for having me here today, I feel very blessed to have a voice here today and I look forward to sharing with all of you.
From what you tell us in your book your journey has been long and arduous, tell us a little about that.
My motivation for writing this book was to help others “see” that the journey need not be so long nor so great of a struggle. If we listen to that voice inside that says “there has got to be another way,” or “it’s got to get better than this,” that voice can be very small, hidden deep within, BUT if you just turn off the TV, set the cell phone aside, go sit quietly somewhere it will become more noticeable and it is the voice that is calling you to your real life. It is trying to push up through all the barren soil that has been shoveled and packed on top of you. As long as you are breathing that voice is there, you are inside. Listen to it and you will begin to attract what is necessary to find your way up and out.
From what I understand, though, it took you many years to break free. So what were some poignant experiences that kept you going.
Perseverance, you know I am a scientist by training. Several years back I gave myself the professional title of “truth seeker.” For me, a true scientist is always exploring, always asking questions, always seeking the truth. For me, I would ask questions, receive answers and then connect the dots, and low and behold, there was another question. You see this is the spirit seeking expression, the spirit is here to expand. That is why we are here, to bring our inherent gifts within to the outside and as we share with others our spirit is expanding and inspiring others, and they mirror back inspiration to us and it becomes like a dance up and outward.
I digress. The gifts bestowed upon me by my parents were that my mother was so fearful to be her own person, so I vowed to not let fear stop me as my life evolved. One of the most valued compliments I have received is from a very good friend who told me that I am the most resilient person he had ever met. My father’s gift was his most profound appreciation for nature. When you think about these two things it is not hard to figure out why I chose the path I did. You know my science profession did not result in financial prosperity or security. So in my early 50’s I discovered the world of network marketing and I woke up to possibilities for a much more fulfilling life. So while our parents may have not given us the advantage that we wish they had, we chose them, I believe, and it is imperative to see the disappointments and only by coming through the other side can you begin to appreciate the gifts they did give you to help your spirit grow in this lifetime.
You know, Steve Jobs gave a very profound commencement speech that I had found on Youtube a few years back. And he said that as he looked back on his like, he was able to connect the dots that lead him to where he was to this day. I so totally get that. My chosen profession of science combined with my early years of poverty consciousness made me so ready for the world of network marketing of quality health products. This lead to personal development since network marketing is the greatest course for this. People either chose to stay the same or break out of their mold and find themselves through this profession. It is very profound to watch people change before your eyes. Weaved throughout this time of personal development, I began to explore the spiritual questions that were bubbling to the surface.
So I’ve connected the dots, and there are so many more not mentioned here and I’ve come to a place of understanding and peace knowing that the Universe wants to support us. The Universe is life giving, just look around you at nature. Nature and the Universe is ever expanding and it wants us to join in, in its creation.
BUT, one must take time to ponder about where you have been and where you want to go, who are you, what matters to you. You see that experiencing what we do not want, we learn what we do want. It is all a process, but I look out and see so many that are sleep walking through their lives. They do not stop, sit quietly and ask “what do I desire, what do I want.” One can speed this process up IF they stop, sit still and ask. Your spirit will bring forth the answers and the next step, and you can choose a full, life-giving path instead of taking many years or worse yet, never fully living you.
So it wasn’t until your late 60’s when you actually broke through and began to share your gifts with others. What happened, was there an event or something that you can point to as the shift.
Beside having planted the seeds of my desires over the years, nurturing those desires, never letting them go, I would have to say it was support. I finally met a man that gave me the space to focus and create from within. I had finally arrived at a place that I really liked who I had become. I was feeling joyful and grateful and the need to be of service to others, to give back.
So tell us about the transformation from poverty consciousness to prosperity consciousness.
I do believe that you have to do what you love and the money will follow. The poverty consciousness is a matter of not feeling worthy. For me this was programmed into my brain and again, my partner helped me see that I was as worthy as him to be prosperous. In the first year of his life he came into a blessed situation and the people close to him provided a message that he was worthy of a prosperous life. Many of us have to figure that out…and that is the great breakthrough that many have through Network Marketing.
I finally found a Network Marketing Company that was so much more and in order for me to be successful at this endeavor, I had to connect the dots!!! Connect the dots of subjects I was fascinated by….geo-political issues, global revolution from controlling financial systems, reading signs, trusting my instinct….I was having so much fun learning, and the issues were not stagnant, they were always evolving, moving forward, and I got in at the beginning. I was in front of the parade. So when I found a business vehicle that fed my soul and it finally brought me out of poverty consciousness, it felt as if I was a majestic eagle soaring in the skies. It was joyful, fun and stimulating to share this passion with others and guide them to a place of greater prosperity.
So with your new found prosperity you live rather modestly. When you can have so much more, why so little?
Quality has always been a priority over quantity for me. I want enough space to organize and move about efficiently, yet I must have a home that makes me feel as it I can touch nature, I can feel her vibration nourishing me. Hence, large homes separate me from nature, so not Cynthia. However, one would find, if they visit my home that it is an extension of my personal philosophy, that my home nourishes my spirit, it is not something for me to possess, but an environment that cares, nourishes and protects me.
We have come to the end of our time, Cynthia, and I still have more questions. Please do come back and let’s talk about leaving a legacy as I know you probably have much depth with which to address that subject.
